Guests may check-in anytime after 3PM. Check-out time is 12 PM. Feel free to leave your bags with us for a $20 fee, which entitles you to use of our decks, outdoor shower, bathroom and BBQ’s for the remainder of the day.

There are numerous restaurants within steps of the motel; Flynns, Schooner Inn and 2 pizza places. There also is a grocery and liquor store. Guests are welcome to bring their own groceries as there are refrigerators and microwaves in all rooms. We also have gas and charcoal grills in the common areas. Ocean Beach, the largest town on Fire Island, is less than a 1.0 mile walk west along the bay, featuring a wide assortment of restaurants, bars, shops and a vibrant nightlife.
The days can get quite hot and the nights quite cool so bring appropriate wear.

Fire Island is truly one of the great treasures of New York. It has activities for everyone, including swimming, shopping, surfing, bodysurfing for the little ones, hiking, observing wildlife, tennis, fishing, etc. Go to the Sunken Forest or the Fire Island Lighthouse and explore! You can also take nice daytrips to other communities, including Cherry Grove and the Pines. Children will enjoy the playgrounds and the wildlife around them. No cars to think about. Just fun and sun.
